Turkey Farmers of Canada Cares

In our seventh year of partnership with Food Banks Canada, Turkey Farmers of Canada (TFC) is honoured once again to have this opportunity to give back to communities across the country. Turkeys are raised in eight provinces across Canada, by over 500 dedicated family-run farms. Mark Davies, a turkey farmer in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley and Chair of Turkey Farmers of Canada says, “Our hope is that Canadians far and wide will join us in donating a turkey to their local food bank this year”. Donations received locally stay in the community, and assist families that may otherwise have no turkey on their Thanksgiving table.

The vast majority of the turkey meat raised in Canada stays in Canada to feed our communities. We’re hoping you’ll join us in showing Canadians everywhere that we all care. By sharing with your neighbours, Thanksgiving becomes that much more significant for everyone. Check out our #TurkeyFarmersCare online campaign and share it.

To maximize your own family’s enjoyment of Thanksgiving, you will want to have as much free time as possible to spend together. Watch our Turkey 101 videos to make your turkey experience the best one yet! And if you’re wondering what to do with the leftover turkey, we have some amazing and unique recipes for you to try, like Taquitos, Frittata, Spring Rolls, Pizzas and so much more!

Won’t you join us in giving thanks by donating to your own local food bank? Donate funds to Food Banks Canada here, or deliver a grocery store voucher or gift certificate to your local food bank in person. You can find the food bank located closest to where you live here. Thank you for joining us in sharing this Thanksgiving.
