Hunger Count 2007 Alert - New Study Shows Usage of Food Banks in Canada Remains Unacceptably High
Need for food banks exists in every province and territory, cities and small communities
What:
The Canadian Association of Food Banks (CAFB) invites news media to attend the release of HungerCount 2007 - the only national annual survey of food banks and emergency food programs use in Canada.
Why:
CAFB representatives will reveal the current national portrait of food bank use and issue a call-to-action to all levels of government to develop long-term strategies to end poverty and food insecurity in our rich country.
