Food banks exist to provide food and consumer supplies for people in need. Unfortunately for Canadian food banks, there is often more demand than supply. In  2009, over 10 million pounds of food was donated through the National Food Sharing System and distributed via our transportation supporters to Food Banks Canada Affiliate Member food banks across the country.
